01

Data Collection

We collect your email address for authentication and the documents you upload for analysis. When you use key buttons before signing up (such as sign up, sign in or try the demo), we also record the domain of the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source) and which kind of page you arrived on, so we can see how people find DocTalk. This sets no cookies and creates no device identifier; if you are signed in, these events are linked to your account, like our other product events.

02

Data Usage

  • DocTalk does not train models on your data
  • Documents are processed to provide the document features you request.
  • Depending on the feature and configuration, relevant document content and questions may be processed by DeepSeek directly, through OpenRouter and its upstream providers, or by OCR and translation providers. DocTalk does not sell your data or use it to train models. Provider retention and training terms vary by service and configuration; no universal zero-retention guarantee is made.

03

Data Storage

Documents are encrypted at rest using AES-256. You can delete your data anytime from your account settings.

04

Your Rights

You can delete individual documents, or export account data and delete your account from Profile → Account. Contact privacy@doctalk.site for other privacy requests.
